Most of the time I don’t watch Peruvian movies because Peruvian cinema is quite rare. This is very good because it is one of the few movies I have seen about Peru.
The cinematography throughout the film is very good with the set designs, backdrops and presentations used throughout the film
Director Claudia Reinicke definitely makes a personal and interesting observation of the family dynamic between fathers and daughters, and the dynamic is well executed with good acting, strong direction and some very good dialogue. While the narrative is simple, predictable and trivial, the emotional base, direction and good acting help keep the story interesting.
Overall, this is a good, warm and cute movie
Including a fascinating look at the political upheaval in Peru and the dynamic relationship between fathers and children.
