Hugh Jackman has said that he is truly done playing the character of Wolverine after Logan (2017)
Plot
Deadpool is offered a place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by the Time Variance Authority, but instead takes on a variant of Wolverine to save his universe from extinction. He later said that he regretted that statement after watching the first Deadpool film and expressed to Ryan his interest in seeing the two characters meet on the big screen. When asked why he decided to return for this film, he simply said, “I just wanted to do it and it was in my gut,” adding that he wanted to have the best time on set with Ryan Reynolds. Likewise, Reynolds had wanted to work with Jackman since the first Deadpool film and was saddened when he (Jackman) left the role. As Wolverine and Deadpool embark on their odyssey in the Honda Odyssey, the car’s time jumps forward three hours during their conversation.

Elliot Chipman: He’s Deadpool. Kevin Chipman: He’s Wolverine. Deadpool: You’re so damn right. Disney brought him back. They’re going to keep doing it until he’s 90.

This movie was painful to watch at times. While Deadpool is known for its crude and profanity-laced language, this movie went overboard with all the jokes made in the previous films and trailers, this movie came out with an almost empty gas tank. The plot was just stupid and didn’t do much for the Deadpool franchise.
It got boring
Most of the humor was the same formula. After a while, it was like a funny comedian telling the same joke, but in a different style, over and over again. There were some funny moments, but for the first time in a Deadpool movie, there were a lot of moments where I lost interest and looked at the clock. They probably should have taken the wins from the first two Deadpool movies and left it at that – and I would have been fine with that. Not worth the ticket price, but good enough when it comes out digitally.
